Meet the Team

Pam Dwyer, Youth Minister

First of all, I am so excited to be a part of God’s work here at First United Methodist Church of Seguin! Secondly, here are some things about me:

  • I came to Seguin to marry Tim Dwyer in 1993 and have been happily involved here ever since!
  • We have two amazing children, Kyle and Kelsey who keep us entertained always.
  • Our family has grown, Kyle has wed the most spectacular woman, Sarah.  They have made us official grandparents of twin boys! Tucker & Tavin (TNT) Boom!  Such a fun and blessed adventure!

My focus for ministry is always on bringing people to Christ and strengthening them in their faith, which means first establishing the students in their faith and then training them for ministry to the world and leadership in the church.

Simultaneously, we are teaching them how to share their faith with those to whom they come into contact with everyday, teaching them to express the hope they have found in Jesus. I also want to dig deep into the Word and seek truth, applying it to the student’s lives in a way that changes and shapes them.

My purpose in everything is to do it for His glory, so that we may present everyone complete in Christ. I feel truly blessed to be a part of these student's lives. To show them how much they matter and how much God loves them just as they are. How much I love them, no matter what!

Peace!

Samantha Bradley, Intern

I am studying biochemistry and theology with a specialization in youth ministry! This is my second year at TLU and here at First UMC Seguin. I love theater and music, not necessarily in that order.

Fishing is a blast but really need someone to bait the hook for me (can't kill little Johnny myself). I like to make others happy and showing Christ to youth is very rewarding.

 Youth Team Leaders

I have long believed that authentic youth ministry is ministry BY youth as much as it is ministry FOR and WITH youth. Encouraging teens to be leaders within our youth ministries is an important step towards helping them to become lifelong participants in the mission of the Church. Leadership responsibilities can give youth ownership and perseverance to develop their gifts for ministry.
